Painting and preparation at Werksta Kungsbacka – Quality and precision in focusAs an auto body painter/preparer at Werksta Kungsbacka, you are responsible for preparation, painting, and finishing of car bodies and parts according to manufacturer specifications and workshop routines. You work in modern facilities with updated paint booths and collaborate closely with panel beaters, damage estimators, and service advisors to ensure a smooth and quality-assured repair flow.
Responsibilities – Preparation, painting, and quality controlPrepare surfaces: degreasing, sanding, masking, and priming
Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat with correct technique and equipment
Mix paint according to color codes, use mixing systems, and document recipes
Perform polishing and finishing to achieve the right finish
Carry out preventive work before painting, such as repairing minor damages and correcting surfaces
Collaborate with colleagues on planning work orders and delivery times
Document completed work in the workshop system and follow up on ongoing cases
Follow safety routines, handle materials in an environmentally correct manner, and contribute to order in the paint workshop
Vocational training or documented experience as an auto body painter/preparer within the automotive industry
Knowledge of modern painting methods, color systems, and environmental requirements
Experience with color mixing and use of spray guns
Meticulous, quality-conscious, and solution-oriented
Ability to collaborate in a team as well as work structured and independently
Category B driver's license is an advantage
Swedish language skills (written and spoken) are required
Responsible and meticulous with an eye for detail
Positive attitude towards improvement work and participation in the team
Flexible, service-oriented, and confident in customer-facing situations when needed
