Sundsvall District Court is a medium-sized court that shares management and premises with the Rent and Tenancy Tribunal in Sundsvall and the Legal Aid Authority. In total, we have approximately 50 employees.

About the role
As a security guard, you work to create safety in the court's premises for both visitors and employees. This involves a number of important and developmental tasks that contribute to a safe and secure environment. You will work in a group together with three other security guards.
In addition to the basic security work, a large part of your work will consist of internal service such as caretaker duties, technical support, and some administrative tasks.
Scheduled weekend on-call duty is included, as well as some overtime work as proceedings sometimes continue after regular working hours.
Main responsibilities
As a security guard, you will:
- Be responsible for order and safety in the court's premises
- Staff the security check at the entrance. The security check includes X-ray equipment.
- Staff the reception
- Ensure that the court's visitors are well received, receive information, and good service
- Manage alarms, access systems, and visitor routines
- Be responsible for technical support in connection with proceedings or meetings
- Train new employees in security
- Work with the release of public documents
- Be responsible for internal service such as mail handling, local supervision, and goods receipt
About you
In the role of security guard, you work to ensure a safe and well-functioning court environment. The work requires good teamwork and communication skills, where you treat people with sensitivity and professionalism. As a person, you are stable and have a high degree of personal maturity. You remain calm and controlled even in stressful situations and have the ability to focus on the right things.
Your flexibility allows you to easily adapt to changes and see opportunities even in new circumstances.
We place great emphasis on external and internal service. You therefore have a service-oriented attitude and are ready to step in where needed.
Great importance is attached to your personal qualities.
Requirements
- Completed and approved upper secondary education
- Valid security guard appointment
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
- Good computer skills and basic technical competence
- Good color vision
Merits
- Previous experience from work within the justice system, preferably court or another authority that the employer deems relevant
- Good knowledge of English

Practical information
The employment is a permanent position that may start with a six-month probationary period. Start date is as soon as possible.
