Within Höglandsförbundet, there is also the High Region Education Collaboration, which currently consists of Höglandsgymnasiet with schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we have approximately 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3,000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for future employment or further studies. In the summer of 2026, the High Region Adult Education will also join, with locations in Sävsjö, Eksjö, and Nässjö.

Your new job
We are looking for a school nurse for Höglandsförbundet, primarily based at Brinellgymnasiet in Nässjö.
As a school nurse, you are responsible for the medical aspect of student health services. The mission is to work preventively and health-promoting to contribute to ensuring that all students are given the best possible conditions for learning, health, and development.
In this role, you contribute medical expertise to the interdisciplinary student health work. Together with the school counselor, special education teacher, study and career counselor, and principal, you work to create a safe and inclusive school environment where every student receives support to achieve educational goals.
You are independently responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the medical interventions of student health services. The assignment includes, among other things, offering and conducting health visits, vision and hearing checks, and vaccinations. You document, follow up, and evaluate interventions according to current guidelines and contribute to high quality and patient safety in the operation. You are responsible for documenting your work in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act and the Patient Data Act, and you use the business system Prorenata Journal for correct and legally secure record-keeping.
As a school nurse, you are part of the school's student health team and simultaneously have close cooperation with other school nurses within the central student health service. Through regular meetings and joint development work, you contribute to strengthening and developing the medical aspect of student health services. To give new employees a secure start, we offer mentorship within the school nurse group.
About you
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse, with preference given to specialist education in child and adolescent health, district nurse, open health care, or as a school nurse. Experience in school health care or child and adolescent medicine is also meritorious. You need to have good IT skills and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. A B-driver's license is a requirement.
As a person, you are good at collaborating and have a good ability to build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You understand and empathize with others' situations and enjoy working with young people and seeing them grow and develop. In daily work, you take responsibility for planning your own work and driving it forward. You plan and make well-considered prioritizations and have a good ability to adapt to changed conditions. You enjoy working together with your colleagues to develop the operation together.
About us
This position is located at Brinellgymnasiet together with one other school nurse. Together, you are responsible for the medical aspect of student health services at Brinell. You will also be part of a group with seven other school nurses for the entire Höglandsförbundet, working together to develop the school nurse's assignment within the framework of the overall student health work at Höglandsgymnasiet. We are in a development phase and are now working to deepen the cooperation between the school nurses at the different school units.
At Brinellgymnasiet, there are approximately 200 employees and 1,100 students. Brinellgymnasiet offers 14 national programs and has a national sports high school in bowling, national sports education programs in bandy and basketball, as well as local sports education programs in basketball, football, and ice hockey.
Good to know
To ensure that you have a valid license as a nurse, we ask you to attach a valid license obtained from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen).
As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement, in accordance with the Education Act, that you present an extract from the criminal record register for work in schools. You request this register extract on the Police's website.
If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove your citizenship. You do this by showing a valid passport or a certificate of personal status together with a valid ID document. A certificate of personal status is ordered from the Tax Agency (Skatteverket) under "My Pages". If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden. Employment can only take place after the work permit has been checked, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
