Your new job

As a repair technician with us, you will become part of Technical Service, a service organization serving the municipality's residents and its own administrations. Here, you will work together with 12 colleagues responsible for repairing the municipality's vehicle fleet. You will have an independent and varied job where you handle everything from tractors and implement carriers to passenger cars and trucks. As a repair technician, you play a significant role and have a socially important function.

You will belong to the Streets, Parks, and Forestry Department (GPS), which is responsible for maintaining and developing the municipality's streets, roads, parks, and green areas. We also handle parking, as well as maintaining and renting out vehicles and machinery.

The position is based at Vasavägen 10, Vägporten. Work at other locations may occur.

Your responsibilities

• Service and repair of trucks/passenger cars and their peripheral equipment.
• Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair.
• Meeting customers and being the face of Technical Service.
• Keeping up to date with new technology to meet customer needs.
• Collaborating with internal and external parties, including colleagues, immediate supervisor, and customer receivers.
• Working with safety awareness and a caring attitude towards all municipality assets.
• Participating in training related to your specialist area.
• Being part of the winter readiness organization.

Your qualifications

To thrive in the role of repair technician, we believe you are curious and have a strong interest in servicing vehicles, repairing, and tinkering. Requirements

• Vehicle technical education at the upper secondary level.
• Several years of experience in vehicle repairs with light or heavy vehicles and their peripheral equipment.
• Driver's license B (manual transmission).
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills with experience working in digital systems.

Merits

Good to know

The recruitment concerns two permanent positions at 100% with a start date to be agreed upon. We review applications continuously, and interviews are planned after the application period ends.

For the position, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record.

Since the duties involve exposure to vibrations, you will be called for a medical examination related to vibration work.
