About the Department
FörsA belongs to the logistics unit that supports the units within Umeå Garrison with their logistics needs, where supply of consumables and materiel maintenance are the two main parts. The Supply Department supports areas such as supply of consumables, fuel, waste, ammunition, cargo, and transport, and currently consists of a service section, an weapons & ammunition section, and a cargo & transport section.
As an employee of the Swedish Armed Forces, we offer

Main Responsibilities
As a storekeeper in the cargo and transport section, your primary focus and responsibility is fuel handling within Umeå Garrison, as well as work with mobilization preparations. You are responsible for receiving, storing, inventorying, and delivering the Swedish Armed Forces' materiel in agreed quantities and quality. You will also serve as support in the training of conscript fuel soldiers.
The duties include, among other things:
- Carry out fuel supply within Umeå Garrison by working with filling, quality controls, setting up fueling stations, reporting, and maintaining fuel stocks.
- Ensure that operations are conducted according to regulations in BVKF (Defence Materiel Administration Regulations).
- Carry out reporting of consumables in internal systems.
- Handle materiel, handling equipment, and facilities, as well as vehicle maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Upper secondary education or equivalent competence acquired in working life or through corresponding education that the employer deems equivalent.
- Good computer skills and ability to work in digital environments.
- Good communication skills and ability to express yourself in Swedish, both written and orally.
- You hold a B, BE, & CE driver's license.

QUALIFICATIONS
- You are a BVKF storekeeper or deputy storekeeper or civil equivalent.
- ADR training certificate with tank endorsement.
- You have extensive experience driving large combinations on the road (truck with trailer, tanker with trailer, tractor with semi-trailer).
- Long documented experience of warehousing/logistics.
- Experience of the Swedish Armed Forces' operations, materials, and material processes.
- Experience of the Swedish Armed Forces' organization of war units and the Swedish Total Defence's mobilization preparation activities.
- Experience of working in the Swedish Armed Forces' PRIO (SAP) and LIFT systems.
- Work permit for forklift and wheel loader.
Other
Employment type: Permanent employment. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.
Employment level: Full-time.
Work location: Umeå, business trips during daytime may occur.
Start date: ASAP or as agreed.

The Protection Centre (SkyddC) in Umeå is the Swedish Armed Forces' knowledge centre for protection against radiation, infection, and poison, so-called CBRN incidents. The unit develops not only the Armed Forces' units in the area but also ensures capability in other parts of the Swedish Armed Forces. Therefore, SkyddC works with both education and development issues and is responsible for maintaining national and international readiness in the area. The centre's function is joint defence, which means ongoing cooperation with several agencies within our subject area. At SkyddC, approximately 140 civilian and military employees work. The unit's budget covers approximately 140 million SEK per year.
