Welcome to us at the Flora Principal Area. The unit consists of 11 preschools distributed across 4 sections, all located in Northern Inner City. We now need exactly you, a trained and experienced special needs educator, to strengthen our team. Your role

As a special needs educator in the Flora Principal Area, you provide operationally close support to the preschools in matters concerning child health, the compensatory mission of the preschool, and children in need of special support. You work proactively and preventively for the benefit of all children, from a salutogenic perspective. You are part of the area's management group, report directly to the principal, and play a key role in supporting and developing the area's work with clear pedagogy and accessible learning environments. Together with colleagues in the management group and educators, you develop the preschools' work to create conditions for learning, development, and participation for all children. You are also part of a team with all special needs educators in the department for joint planning and follow-up.

Your assignment

• Contribute to developing staff knowledge about special needs pedagogical methods and approaches, and how teaching can be planned based on children's different prerequisites and needs, with the overarching goal that all children should be able to develop as much as possible.
• Work preventively and health-promoting together with the principal, management group, and work teams to create an inclusive preschool.
• Be a conversation partner and advisor in pedagogical matters.
• Act as a professional role model and provide practical guidance in pedagogical work.
• Develop the preschool's pedagogical, physical, and social learning environments at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
• Support in mapping and creating action plans at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
• Follow up and evaluate action plans together with work teams and guardians.
• Be a support to the principal, deputy principals, and work teams in communication with guardians.
• Conduct pedagogical descriptions prior to starting school in adapted primary school.
• Collaborate and maintain contact with other actors such as healthcare, primary school, adapted primary school, and social services.
• Be an active member of the department's child health team for special needs educators.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for you who have:

• Licensed teacher or preschool teacher and special needs education training
• Several years of documented experience working as a special needs educator in preschool

Good ability to independently organize, take responsibility, and strategically develop the work as a special needs educator. You need to be professional, self-reliant with strong commitment to the role. Good collaboration skills and clarity in communication with children, colleagues, and guardians are important.
