Workplace Description
Gubbängsskolan is a place where tradition meets the future. Here in the Farsta district, around 700 students from preschool class to grade 9 gather in an environment characterized by security, curiosity, and a desire to learn. With certified teachers, dedicated leisure-time staff, and a clear vision – to be a school where everyone wants to develop and gets the desire to learn more – we create a daily life filled with both continuity and creativity. We are a traditional municipal primary school in the City of Stockholm with all the value that entails.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a teacher for the autumn term who will teach in our special education group "Vargen" (The Wolf) in grades 1–3. The focus of the teaching here is on reading and writing acquisition, as well as basic mathematics.
You will be part of a work team and a subject team where you collaborate with colleagues and are an important part of collegial learning to create new and in-depth knowledge.
As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the teaching in the groups and students you teach.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- are a certified teacher for grades 1–3 and have broad eligibility with a focus on Swedish and mathematics,
- have experience with digital working methods as an enhancement in teaching,
- have a positive attitude and a strong commitment to students' development and learning,
- have good collaboration skills and contribute to a good work climate.
It is meritorious to have experience working with students in need of special support and in smaller teaching groups. Special educational competence is also meritorious.
You have a good ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into the students' results and needs, and structure and adapt your teaching so that a secure and adequate learning environment is created.
You are secure, stable, have self-insight, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role in an effective manner.
