There are a total of 12 positions at the Environmental Unit. Our employees are competent and service-oriented. The work is flexible with opportunities to influence. Our mission is to exercise supervision and process cases within environmental and health protection, food, and alcohol/tobacco. We strive to perform our work in a professional manner. The Environmental Unit is part of the Community Development Administration, which also includes the Planning and Building Unit, the Rescue Services, and the Geodata Unit.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a new Environmental Inspector as one of our employees has moved on to new challenges. The position is primarily focused on case processing and supervision within health protection but may also include a broader range of issues within the environmental and health protection area, such as alcohol and tobacco supervision and small sewage systems. We try, if possible, to always adapt the position to interest and the needs of the operations.

We are looking for you who are passionate about environmental issues, are curious and brave enough to take on new challenges, believe in development and continuous improvements, and realize that we need to collaborate to go further.

Qualifications

You are trained as an Environmental Inspector or have a degree from another university education that can be considered equivalent. You have knowledge within the environmental area, are computer literate, and can use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. You can communicate, both orally and in writing, in Swedish. The work also requires that you have a driver's license for a passenger car. Experience working in a politically governed organization with environmental issues and authority enforcement is meritorious.

You have personal maturity, are stable and relationship-building, communicative, and have good pedagogical insight. You are expected to be able to work independently and in a group and have good cooperation skills. You are structured and see service to residents as an important part of the work.

You have a good ability to plan and drive work processes forward.
