We are looking for two occupational therapists in Pajala Municipality

Pajala Municipality is the large (by area) small town located in the land of the northern lights and the midnight sun – Torne Valley, in eastern Norrbotten. We are now investing in rehabilitation and are therefore looking for two occupational therapists for our team within municipal healthcare! Do you want to make a difference in people's daily lives and contribute to increased quality of life? Then you could be the one we are looking for!

Job Description

As an occupational therapist with us, you work to support people in their daily lives, focusing on promoting independence, participation, and health. You will work in ordinary housing and in special housing for the elderly and LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).

You are part of an interdisciplinary team and collaborate closely with nurses, physiotherapists, social secretaries (assistance planners), and care staff.

Your tasks include, among other things:

  • Assessment of activity capacity and need for assistive devices
  • Fitting and prescription of assistive devices
  • Guidance and training of staff
  • Documentation and follow-up according to current guidelines

Qualifications

  • Licensed occupational therapist
  • Rehabilitative approach and good collaboration skills
  • Independent, flexible, and with a genuine interest in people
  • Valid B-driver's license (required)

Before employment, a certificate of good conduct must be presented according to Law 2026:43 on Register Control in Home Care for Elderly Persons or Adults with Disabilities.

Employment Terms

Type of employment: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: According to agreement.

In Pajala Municipality, individual and differentiated salary setting is applied. This means that the salary is set based on the current collective agreement – general provisions including appendices – as well as the municipality's salary policy. For new hires, an individual assessment of the salary is made based on the requirements of the position. The lowest entry-level salary is 23,638 SEK. For employees with vocational preparatory upper secondary education, the entry-level salary is 25,798 SEK.

Pajala Municipality is part of the administrative area for Meänkieli and Finnish, so it is meritorious if you have knowledge of one or both of these languages.
