About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will become safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand prisons, and client transport.

Rosersberg Prison

Rosersberg Prison is located north of Stockholm and is a security class 2 prison. In addition to prison places, there are also a number of remand prison places. The workplace is characterized by a family-like environment where different professional groups work closely together. There are also good commuting opportunities within walking distance to the commuter train, as well as access to staff parking. Here we value a health-promoting work environment, and as an employee, you will therefore have access to our staff gym.

A major change project regarding renovation and preparations is currently underway. From July 1, 2026, Rosersberg Prison will be able to receive children and young people under 18 sentenced to imprisonment on a special children's and youth unit. This replaces the previous secure youth care as a deprivation of liberty sanction for children and young people aged 15-17 who commit serious crimes. The focus will be on creating safe environments that promote reintegration into society, with activities such as school, student health services, employment, and age-appropriate leisure activities. In other respects, the child's rights during the execution of the sentence will be met in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Through client-focused work, we create a meaningful existence in an otherwise adult and security-focused environment.

We are now looking for a Store Administrator, welcome to apply!
