What does the role of a nurse at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?

A nurse at Norlandia Elderly Care is a valuable key person, and we are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in various situations. Together in a team with care staff, rehabilitation, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.

The specific competence of a registered nurse is nursing care. This encompasses both the scientific knowledge base and patient-oriented work based on a humanistic view of humanity. You are responsible for ensuring that the health and medical needs of our residents are met.

As a nurse, you are responsible for and lead the nursing care work. This means independently, in team collaboration, and in partnership with the resident and their next of kin, you are responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. An important task is also to mentor, support, and educate other care staff and to be a good role model for your colleagues.

You work with care in everything you do, taking significant personal responsibility, and have the ability to prioritize and lead others even in changing circumstances. Flexibility and collegial cooperation are of great importance in this role.

As a nurse, you will have an important and developmental role where you are responsible for and drive your own leadership tasks within healthcare. You actively contribute to planning, coordinating, and developing care operations with a focus on quality, patient safety, and good results. The role offers significant personal responsibility, the opportunity to influence working methods and processes, and close collaboration with engaged colleagues and other professions. About Björknäsgården Elderly Care Home

Björknäsgården has 126 modern apartments distributed across two building blocks with 3 to 4 floors per building. Each unit has a reception kitchen, dining room, living room, and a balcony or outdoor area where we socialize, eat meals, and conduct activities. On our lovely courtyard, there are walking paths, a pergola, and an outdoor gym adapted for seniors.

• We are looking for you who are a registered nurse
• It is meritorious if you have previous experience as a nurse in elderly care
• You need to have good knowledge of healthcare regulations
• You master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing
• We would like you to have knowledge of documentation based on ICF and KVÅ
• We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations

Other information

Employment type: Permanent

Scope: 80-100% according to agreement

Working hours: 37 h/week with day and evening shifts, and every 5th weekend.

Start date: According to agreement

Probation period: We apply a 6-month probation period

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the last application date. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

In the event of employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record register. You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or alternatively a valid work permit.
