About the role

As a Property Caretaker with us, you play a central role in ensuring that our residences and premises maintain high standards, are safe, and pleasant. Your primary work area will be mainly around Mariestad, Lidköping, and Hova, although work in other locations within the region may occur.

Your responsibilities

No two days are alike. You plan your day independently by strategically prioritizing based on fault reports, inspections, rounds, and operational needs. The main focus is on practical craftsmanship to keep our properties in good condition. Examples of tasks include:

• Repair and Maintenance: Everything from carpentry work (e.g., changing doors, skirting boards, countertops) to simpler painting tasks and restoration after damage.

• Plumbing and Technology: Replacing mixers, toilet seats, water traps, and ensuring heating functions.

• Locks and Doors: Adjusting doors, replacing lock cylinders, and door closers.

• Outdoor Maintenance: You are responsible for ensuring the outdoor environment is inviting and safe through mowing, hedge trimming, weed control, leaf collection, and other garden maintenance.

• Safety & Regulatory Requirements: You manage fire safety controls (SBA) and coordinate necessary inspections.

• Projects and Maintenance Planning: Involved in maintenance planning, procurement, and projects to ensure progress.

• Communication: Daily contact with operational managers, contractors, and partners related to property issues and projects.

You report regularly to the Operations and Maintenance Manager and document your cases digitally in our property system.

To succeed in this role, you are self-reliant and proactive. You see what needs to be done during your rounds and act proactively. You are service-oriented and professional in your interactions with our operational managers and residents – you are our face to the outside world! Furthermore, you are a social team player who contributes to a good atmosphere at the workplace. We are looking for someone who enjoys having tools in their hands and has broad practical knowledge.

For this position, you must:

• have a valid driver's license (Category B)

• have documented experience in property maintenance and repair work

• have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate with operations and document in our systems

• have good computer skills for handling our digital fault reporting system

It is an advantage if you:

• have knowledge of electrical work or plumbing

Other information

The position is a temporary assignment initially lasting approximately 6 months, with a possibility of extension. An extract from the criminal record will be required prior to employment as the work takes place in facilities where children and young people are present.
