We are now looking for an engaged and experienced Technical Manager for our factory in Sävsjö. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of technical experts and play a key role in our quest to become a center of excellence for the production of market-leading snus. About the role

As Technical Manager, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and be part of the factory's management team. You will be responsible for leading and developing the technical department, which consists of 16 colleagues, including direct personnel responsibility for four employees. Your role involves strategically planning and improving areas such as Engineering, Maintenance, Facility Management, and the Electrical Department. You will drive projects and ensure that all initiatives are carried out within established time and budget frameworks, with a focus on achieving our Triple Zero goals and promoting a safety culture.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Technical Manager, the following qualifications are required:

  • University degree in (industrial) engineering or equivalent
  • At least three years of experience in a similar role and previous leadership experience
  • Experience in facility management and electrical issues in a production environment
  • Knowledge of change management and LEAN methods, such as FMEA, DMAIC, PDCA, and Kaizen
  • Good knowledge of occupational health and safety; NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English
  • Structured and solution-oriented working approach with good communication skills

Responsibilities

As Technical Manager, you will have a broad scope of responsibility including:

  • Leading and monitoring the areas of Engineering, Maintenance, Facility Management, and Electrical
  • Driving our Triple Zero Agenda and continuously improving safety work
  • Responsible for project implementation and investment planning
  • Develop strategies together with the factory's management team to achieve set goals
  • Act as a contact point for OEMs and subject matter experts within the global Engineering network
  • Collaborate with trade unions and handle work-related issues
  • Develop strategic maintenance and service plans
