We are now looking for an orchestra technician for our technical department at Scenkonst Västernorrland. The technical department consists of 18 people. You will be one of two dedicated orchestra technicians responsible for the Nordic Chamber Orchestra, the Nordic Chamber Ensemble, the Nordic Wind Quintet, as well as assigned freelance productions and guest performances under the brand Musik Västernorrland.

You are responsible for coordinating and practically ensuring that stage setups and musical equipment are in the right place at the right time; set up according to the specifications established prior to musician auditions, rehearsals, and concerts/performances both on home stages in Sundsvall and on tour. The work is carried out in close collaboration with our producers, musicians, and visiting artists, and takes place during both day and evening hours as well as on weekends.

In your work, you will collaborate with many different kinds of people. Therefore, it is important that you have the ability to build good relationships. As a person, you are proactive, flexible, solution-oriented, and accustomed to working against deadlines.

You have good IT/data skills, are proficient in Swedish and English, and have experience from similar touring performing arts activities. You have basic sound and light competence. A BE driver's license is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of orchestra operations is an advantage.
