About the role of Forestry Project Manager

As a Forestry Project Manager at Ellevio, you are responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring forestry maintenance along our regional network lines. This role is central to ensuring supply security and compliance with requirements through efficient and long-term maintenance.

The role is primarily office-based and involves planning, management, monitoring, and coordination. Field visits may occur, but the daily work is mainly carried out through analysis, dialogue with contractors and internal functions, and monitoring of ongoing and planned measures.

You have overall responsibility for the budget, procurement, and monitoring of forestry maintenance measures. The role includes continuous monitoring of projects regarding execution and progress, in close collaboration with contractors and project managers closer to the operational field work. Furthermore, you contribute to the development of methodology and working methods in the area and participate in industry-wide forums together with other regional network owners.

Examples of tasks:

• Responsible for budget, procurement, and monitoring of forestry maintenance
• Monitor projects regarding quality, progress, and delivery
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and internal functions
• Prepare projects for boundary tree maintenance based on laser scanning material
• Contribute to the development of working methods and processes

The role offers great freedom in how you plan and drive your work, and you are expected to take independent responsibility for your areas and drive the work forward as conditions and needs change.

The stationing location is Karlstad, Mora, Falun, Bollnäs, or Arvika, but for the right person, it is also possible to base the role from Örebro.

To fit and thrive in the role, we see that you have a good understanding of planning, management, and monitoring of forestry measures and thrive in a role with many contact surfaces.

You work in a structured manner and have a business-like approach, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and monitor deliveries. You are problem-solving and enjoy handling changed conditions. The role requires that you can work independently, while also having good collaboration skills and functioning well in dialogue with both contractors and internal stakeholders. As we move towards a more digitalized way of working, we would appreciate if you have an interest in creating structure and order in digital systems.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A forestry university degree or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience
• Several years of experience in forestry maintenance, preferably related to power line corridors
• Experience working with contractors and monitoring contracts
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Category B driver's license

Knowledge in property law and GIS is meritorious.
