About the role

Stenhusgruppen performs concrete contracting and other masonry and cast structures for construction companies and property companies in the Stockholm region. They guarantee a well-executed job and a secure process from bid to final delivery and are certified according to BKMA, which means they conduct systematic quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety work. Through their genuine desire to deliver quality with the least possible environmental impact, they lay the foundation for a sustainable future. Stenhusgruppen needs to strengthen the team for their larger projects in the Stockholm area. We see that you who apply for the position have previous experience that enables you to contribute to the projects and share your experience and competence from the start.

As a contracting engineer, you have a broad and significant role where you are responsible for ensuring that projects are carried out with high quality, according to the set schedule, and with good economic results. You will work in close collaboration with their controller and site manager – where you have a coordinating and relieving role. As a contracting engineer, you will also have close contact with various external actors such as clients, customers, and suppliers.

The majority of the time you will be based at the projects in the Stockholm area, and the remaining time you will be based at their office in Danderyd.

Responsibilities

The role involves overall responsibility for the administrative, legal, and economic aspects of the projects, where you act as the link between production, economy, and external actors.

  • Estimating and bidding: Prepare cost estimates, bid calculations, and production calculations in early stages.
  • Purchasing and procurement: Conduct purchases, negotiate, and procure materials and subcontractors, as well as manage supplier contacts and contract drafting.
  • Economic control and forecasts: Responsible for ongoing control of the project's costs, revenues, and liquidity, as well as preparing and following up on economic forecasts to predict final results and detect deviations in time.
  • Change order management (ÄTA): Identify, price, and handle change and additional works (ÄTA) to ensure profitability and correct invoicing.
  • Contract law: Handle contractual legal issues and ongoing contracts in the projects.
  • Planning: Create, follow up, and revise schedules.
  • QHS (Quality, Health, and Safety) work: Drive and manage QHS work (Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety) and ensure that the project follows set quality and environmental goals.
  • Project support: Support the site manager in various administrative and operational tasks to drive the project forward.

We are looking for you who

  • Have a university degree in construction or economics (180 credits). Attach your degree certificate in your application. Alternatively, experience assessed as equivalent.
  • Have good knowledge of Excel.
  • Have a B driver's license.
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, as daily communication and documentation occur in both languages.
  • Have experience from at least one major project (approx. 50 MSEK+) where you have worked with the above-mentioned tasks. This includes:
    • Experience with schedules, purchasing, and economic forecasts.
    • Experience with QHS, AMA, and contract law.
    • Experience/knowledge within BKMA or ISO 9001.
