Vena, Målilla, Mörlunda, and Silverdalen – small units with great opportunities!

Ytterskolan in Hultsfred Municipality is a collective term for the schools in the smaller towns in the municipality. With us, you will find Vena School, Silverdalen School, Målilla School, and Emådalskolan in Mörlunda. Schools that are all close to nature. The schools are led by three principals working closely together.

We are currently looking for special needs teachers with a focus on mathematics, reading and writing acquisition, or severe speech disorders who want to work at our schools. You will be part of a team with several special needs teachers and special educators.

In the role, you will work with mapping, guidance, and teaching with a focus on both social and pedagogical issues. You have a language-developing and student-active approach. An important part of the role is to work together with the school's other staff to develop our adaptation of teaching so that all students can reach the goals, with extra focus on reading and writing acquisition and mathematics.

Important elements in this adaptation are that as a special needs teacher, you have a broad repertoire of methods where you work both individually and with groups in close collaboration with the teaching teams' teachers. As a special needs teacher, you also drive school development issues related to student health services.

Collaboration is a prerequisite and a matter of course, both within the teaching team and with other teaching teams at other units. It is together with others that you give the students the best conditions for learning and development. As a special needs teacher, you are goal-oriented and engaged. You see more opportunities than difficulties. A prerequisite for working with us is that you see yourself as a team player. We want you to feel that you can grow in your profession when you work with us, with a desire to learn and a will to learn for life!

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a pedagogical education and are a qualified special needs teacher and who want to help develop our schools. In your leadership, you start from creating good relationships with both students and colleagues.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. We would like you to be a person who likes to drive school development and work with student influence related to the curriculum. Independence, flexibility, and forward-thinking are qualifications we see in you! You will meet children of different ages and varying needs. In your leadership, you start from creating good relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues.

Employment type: Permanent position.
