Do you want to contribute to the Swedish intelligence reform? Sweden's Foreign Intelligence Service (UND) is now being established as part of this reform. We are building a completely new agency that will contribute to strengthening the Swedish intelligence community.
Description
We are looking for a systems engineer to build and operate the agency's IT environment.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include building and operating the agency's IT environment, covering both server platforms and clients. The role involves installing, configuring, and monitoring systems, as well as establishing operational routines. As the agency grows, the scope of responsibility will also develop.
Qualifications
You have post-secondary education in IT or another area deemed equivalent by the employer, along with several years of experience operating server platforms and client environments in a large organization.
Desirable qualifications include extensive experience working in Windows Server and Linux environments, as well as experience with virtualization solutions and hardening of servers and clients. Experience with identity and access management and IT security work is also considered advantageous. We also value candidates who have completed signals security training and have experience in government operations or security-cleared environments.
As a person, you are meticulous and responsible. You work in a structured manner, are team-oriented, and thrive in a building-up environment. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
Other Information
The position is a permanent employment, and initially, you will be employed by the committee tasked with establishing the agency. Probationary employment may apply.
The position is security classified, and a security clearance check will be conducted before an employment decision is made. You must be a Swedish citizen to be employed by UND.

The IT Infrastructure Unit has overall responsibility for the agency's entire IT infrastructure. The unit develops the agency's IT strategy and is characterized by innovation and digital transformation. IT security and help desk support are also central parts of the unit's work.
Sweden's Foreign Intelligence Service (UND) is a new agency that will begin operations on January 1, 2027, and subsequently grow gradually.
UND will serve as a national intelligence resource supporting Swedish foreign, security, and defense policy in times of peace, crisis, and war. By detecting, identifying, and warning about external threats, the agency will promote Sweden's national security interests and the security of our allies. The agency's task is to support the Government, the Government Offices, and other agencies.
The agency will be located in the Stockholm area.
