The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic is a county clinic with reception units in Lycksele, Umeå, and Skellefteå. The clinic also includes the BUP care ward located in Umeå. BUP Västerbotten is a USVE unit with close collaboration with universities and research. Within the clinic, we work in cross-professional teams, and our work is carried out in close cooperation with the patient's family and other networks. We have clear goals that we achieve by inspiring each other to creative improvement work. Alongside this, we place emphasis on creating a health-promoting work environment in our units.

We are now making an investment to increase accessibility and are therefore appointing a position as a physiotherapist in Lycksele. You will have physiotherapy colleagues in Umeå and Skellefteå, and a strong team of other professional categories with you in Lycksele.

Job Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

The physiotherapist role at BUP involves independently and as part of a team working with the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents who need interventions at a specialized child psychiatric level. In your work, you will meet children and adolescents with more severe psychiatric conditions. You will work in outpatient care in Lycksele. A portion of the position will also be directed towards outpatient care in Umeå; the forms for this will be developed based on the needs of the operations and your prerequisites.

As a physiotherapist, you work in a patient-centered and evidence-based manner. Examples of treatment interventions include physical activation, body awareness, and practical anxiety management. You meet patients both individually and in group therapy, and you independently plan, implement, and evaluate your interventions. You also participate in teamwork and collaboration with guardians and colleagues, and in some cases also with schools and social services, a collaboration that creates conditions for viewing the patient from a holistic perspective.

As we are a county clinic, travel to all units may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist. As a person, you are confident in your professional role and have good self-insight. You enjoy collaborating and being there for both employees and patients. You are good at building alliances with those you meet, structuring your work, and taking responsibility for driving your own processes forward. You can quickly adjust your planning if conditions change and have good communication skills in speech and writing.

Education in psychiatric physiotherapy treatment and psychosomatics is meritorious, as is experience working with children and adolescents and/or within psychiatry.
