Your Role

We are currently looking for several Maintenance Engineers for our Maintenance Section, which is part of the Production Technology Department at SAAB Dynamics' production site in Björkborn, Karlskoga.

We are facing a development where we are moving towards more structured, preventive, and proactive maintenance work. Therefore, we are looking for several maintenance engineers with different backgrounds and strengths - both you who want to work broadly within maintenance and you who want to work more specialized within areas such as electrical, automation, or advanced troubleshooting.

Our section is responsible for the maintenance of tools, equipment, and machines and works in close collaboration with production, quality, and other production technology functions. Together, we ensure efficient, safe, and reliable production where improvement work is a natural part of everyday life.

As a maintenance engineer, you will have overall responsibility for your equipment throughout its entire lifecycle - from planning and operation to development and modernization. The role combines technology, analysis, and practical work in a high-tech and dynamic environment.

You will among other things:

• Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance in close collaboration with production
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical problems
• Lead or participate in root cause analyses and improvement projects
• Participate in modifications and technical upgrades of production equipment
• Communicate with national and international suppliers and coordinate their efforts
• Support production with technical support in daily work
• Responsible for documentation as well as procurement of spare parts and technical services
• Different specializations - we are looking for several profiles

Maintenance Engineer - Broad Mechanics/Production

In this specialization, you work broadly with mechanics, pneumatics, and production-proximity maintenance. The focus is on availability, operational stability, and practical problem-solving in everyday life.

You fit here if you thrive in a varied role where you quickly switch between troubleshooting, actions, and improvement work in close collaboration with production.

Maintenance Engineer - Electronics

In this specialization, you work more specialized with electronics, electronic systems, and test equipment. In the role, you are responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic systems, instrumentation, and test equipment, as well as developing preventive maintenance plans for these.

You often work more systematically and long-term with improvements, upgrades, and root cause analyses related to test equipment.

Maintenance Engineer - Electrical / Automation

As a Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that our electrical, control, and automation systems function reliably and efficiently. The role is technically broad and combines troubleshooting, improvement work, and participation in technical projects.

You work closely with production, mechanical maintenance, and other technical functions in a business-critical role.

Your Profile

We are looking for you with a technical background in areas such as industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, electrical, or automation. You have a genuine interest in technology and thrive in a role where you get to combine analysis with practical work. To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• Have technical education or equivalent experience within industry, maintenance, or production technology
• Have experience with troubleshooting and technical work in an industrial environment
• Have a good understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, and/or electrical/automation depending on the specialization
• Are structured, curious, and solution-oriented
• Enjoy both independent work and collaboration in teams
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
