The LSS Department is the third largest department within the Welfare Administration. Our mandate is to implement decisions made under the LSS Act, primarily decisions regarding housing with special service, personal assistance, and day activity programs. The goal of the support we provide is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in society, so that individuals who are granted an intervention have the opportunity to live like everyone else.

Our work is carried out through individually tailored support with high quality and respect for self-determination, where a positive attitude permeates all operations. We are now looking for an engaged and goal-oriented support assistant for a permanent, full-time position (100%), with a start date of September 10, 2026.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for creating and following up on implementation plans, other social documentation, and other administrative tasks and areas of responsibility, such as scheduling, purchase orders, and health and safety matters, together with the user.

Together with your colleagues, you will carry out daily and planned support interventions and activities with the user. You will support and motivate the user in everyday activities at home and during leisure time. It is part of the role to build trusting relationships with users and to be a good role model.

You ensure that support interventions are based on the user's individual needs, promote independence and participation, and are carried out with respect for the user's privacy and self-determination. You help with everyday chores, personal hygiene, and medication. The work often involves working alone, and working hours vary as we provide interventions during the day, evening, weekends, and nights.

You drive development work forward together with colleagues according to established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. Collaborating with the user's network, other staff, and other partners is also an important part of the work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a high school diploma in either the Care and Nursing Program with specialization in disability or psychiatry, the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work, or other equivalent education assessed as equivalent by the employer.

To work in care and nursing, you must be at least 18 years old. It is important that you have the ability to meet people professionally based on their individual conditions and needs. As a person, you are self-reliant and stress-resistant with the individual in focus. You are empathetic and responsible, and you find it easy to collaborate with others. You have good social skills and enjoy working in a flexible manner. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

It is an advantage if you have experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), LAB (Learning by Action), and clarifying pedagogy.

A valid Category B driver's license is required for the position.

The work requires sufficient knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing to, among other things, communicate with users, perform care documentation, and obtain medication delegation.

By law, everyone who works in operations with children under 18 years of age must present a valid extract from the police criminal record at the time of employment. You can order such an extract from the police.

Please attach your CV and cover letter to your application.
