Welcome to us at Adult Psychiatry Ward 1 Psychosis - Psychiatric Intensive Care (PIVA)! Whether you are a recent graduate or have experience as a nurse, you are warmly welcome here. We are an established ward with a close-knit staff group with many different competencies.

On Ward 1, we have 13 care beds where our primary task is to care for people with psychotic illness. The ward also includes a PIVA ward with three care beds. Here we care for people, regardless of psychiatric diagnosis, who are in need of a more stimulus-poor environment. Working on Ward 1/PIVA gives you the opportunity to follow and be a significant part of the care process for the sickest patients from onset to recovery and eventual discharge.

On the ward, we are a large team working together. We always have at least two nurses during the day as well as a team leader who can provide support when needed. We also have an administrative assistant during each shift who helps with order and structure during work shifts. In addition to nurses, assistants, and team leaders, our team also includes doctors, social workers, psychologists, secretaries, unit managers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

We have a high basic staffing level during all work shifts and have jointly designed a schedule that promotes recovery and well-being.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The wards to which the position is linked are Ward 1 / Psychiatric Intensive Care Ward (PIVA). Ward 1 has 13 care beds and a PIVA unit where there are 3 care beds. On PIVA, patients are cared for who, regardless of diagnosis, require enhanced supervision and monitoring as well as a stimulus-poor care environment.

Your responsibilities include both somatic and psychiatric nursing tasks occurring on a care ward. Here you lead the task in close cooperation with your colleagues. Other tasks included in your work are health status checks, assessment of care needs, and support conversations. Counseling, medication management, and documentation are also other tasks included in your work.

We hold continuous internal training to raise our competence level and thereby streamline care work. A good working climate is obviously very important, so camaraderie, humor, and direct communication are high on the list. In addition to a pleasant and exciting workplace, we offer introduction and on-the-job training adapted to your knowledge and previous experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale of requirements. We consider it an advantage if you have specialist training in psychiatry. If you have previous work experience as a nurse and/or in psychiatry, we also consider that an advantage.

As a person, you are empathetic, sensitive, and responsible. You also have the ability to make decisions independently when needed. Furthermore, you have a very good attitude towards both patients and colleagues and a high readiness to act. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Interviews are planned to be held in August.
