On our ward, we care for patients within urology and vascular surgery. Our patients come to us due to acute conditions, cancer surgery, or elective care in the form of various surgical procedures. The urological procedures range from minor interventions in the urinary tract to the largest surgical procedure at Helsingborg Hospital: cystectomy. Our vascular patients undergo elective and emergency surgery, including both open surgery and endovascular treatment. The vascular surgical procedures include treatment of all the body's vascular systems except the heart and brain. The most common procedures are treatment of peripheral arterial disease, aortic disease, and carotid disease.

Many of our patients require recurring care, which enables genuine patient contact and continuity in care. We care for both acutely ill patients and patients in the terminal stages of life. The patients require both shorter and longer stays on the ward. This means a constant change in the patient group and the care interventions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of nursing assistant with us, you will gain broad knowledge and experience within both our specialties. You will have the opportunity to work with stimulating tasks such as catheterization and catheter care, VAC treatments, wound care, sampling, pre- and postoperative care, and palliative care. We work with mobile bedside documentation of NEWS and vital signs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and meet the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected job title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current curriculum structure. Preference is given to those with a focus on emergency care/healthcare and/or experience in surgical and/or urological care. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have at least two years of work experience in the healthcare profession.

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in people and care, and who, together with your colleagues, want to provide our patients with the best possible care. You have good communication skills and work well in collaboration with others. We appreciate that you are proactive and have the ability to handle unexpected events well. Since we are keen on finding the right person for the position, we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Salary range: 25,800 - 35,900 SEK
