LKAB Wassara delivers cutting-edge technology to complex drilling projects. Our business idea is to offer complete drilling systems for efficient and environmentally friendly drilling based on our core competence in water-driven drilling.

Your role

As a lathe operator, you work with the manufacturing of both prototypes and series in small volumes (approx. 50 pcs) against stock. The role is varied and includes everything from programming to finished parts.

You will among other things:

• Program based on finished 3D models (CAD/CAM)
• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines (Fanuc, GibbsCAM is also used)
• Manufacture parts in multi-tasking machines
• Work with prototypes in close collaboration with research and development
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and plan the work together with the team
• Ensure quality and contribute to the improvement of working methods

The work is primarily carried out based on planned work orders, with a strong focus on structure, collaboration, and delivery precision.

What you bring with you

We are looking for someone who is structured, curious, and thrives in a role where you get to combine technology with problem-solving. You are communicative and have an easy time collaborating, while also taking personal responsibility and driving your work forward.

You also bring:

• Approved high school grades, preferably in a relevant area for the role.
• Driver's license for manual transmission
• Experience working as a CNC operator or lathe operator
• Good knowledge of CAD/CAM
• Experience with Fanuc control systems
• Good ability to read and interpret drawings

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience with prototype manufacturing
• Forklift license B1
• Overhead crane license
