RESPONSIBILITIES

As a counselor, you play a central role and are a key part of the school's work in promoting students' safety, study environment, and mental health. You provide individual support in psychosocial and motivation-related issues, and conduct conversations, assessments, and action plans aimed at strengthening student participation and school attendance.

You also collaborate with social services, psychiatry, and other external actors to ensure that students receive comprehensive and professional support. In this role, you work closely with the student health team and collaborate closely with both teachers and school leadership, with the goal of creating a school where students thrive, develop, and feel safe.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or have another education that the employer deems relevant for the role of school counselor. Previous experience working in upper secondary school is an advantage.

As a person, you are secure, sensitive, and have good collaboration skills. You can work independently and structured while also having a good ability to collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians.
