Job Description

As a Press Brake Operator at Åbergs Plåt, you work with forming sheet metal according to drawings in an environment where variety is a natural part of everyday life. You handle everything from single-piece production to small series and work with various materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

The role involves both practical work at the machine and significant responsibility for planning and prioritizing your own work. You work with both finished programs and some programming, ensuring that drawings are executed correctly in production.

You become an important part of the operation where you have the opportunity to influence both working methods and the final result – and where your technical understanding and feel for materials make a difference every day.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret drawings
• Set up and operate press brake machines
• Bend sheet metal to the correct shape
• Quality assurance of components, dimensions, and angles
• Work with various materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

The position is located on-site at Åbergs Plåt in Tidaholm, and the work is performed during daytime hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who thrives in a practical role where you can combine craftsmanship, problem-solving, and personal responsibility. You have a technical interest, like understanding how things work, and work carefully with a clear focus on quality.

You may already be working as a press brake operator – but we also welcome candidates from other roles in manufacturing, such as welders, assemblers, or mechanics. You can also be self-taught – if you have a strong practical interest and the right drive, we view this very positively.

To succeed in the role, you need to be curious, flexible, and comfortable with a daily routine where tasks vary. You take responsibility for your work, collaborate well with others, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements:

• Good workshop experience
• Very good ability to read drawings
• Experience in measuring and inspecting components
• Be driven and show a strong interest in learning more
