Job Description

We within Urban Development Water North are now looking for a Senior Engineer in Water and Wastewater Engineering (VA-Maskin) who wants to work on projects related to water and wastewater treatment locally and regionally, while collaborating nationally and internationally with other consultants within AFRY.

The role involves working on feasibility studies, dimensioning of machinery and equipment, developing processes for water treatment and sludge management, process optimization, creating concept proposals, tender documents, and working with design in various stages. Each project is unique and requires a unique team composition adapted to the specific assignment.

You will work on projects throughout the country, and travel will occur, but you will have one of our local offices as your regular workplace.

Educationally, we look for a degree as a Master of Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or a Natural Scientist with water and wastewater engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering as part of your degree, or another degree considered equivalent. Alternatively, you may have acquired equivalent skills through industry experience. You have at least eight years of experience in municipal water and/or wastewater engineering. Consulting experience is considered a merit.

As AFRY is an international company, we expect you to be proficient in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, to meet our customers' needs.
