We are now looking for a Traffic Engineer for the Technical Department on a parental leave substitute contract.

About the Operations

The Technical Department is responsible, among other things, for the operation, development, and management of the municipality's streets, parks, parking services, public land, and traffic environment, as well as water and sewage operations. The department works both strategically and operationally, drives numerous projects, and collaborates closely with other municipal functions, politics, contractors, and external authorities.

Job Responsibilities

As a Traffic Engineer at the Technical Department, you will work to create a safe, accessible, and well-functioning traffic environment for the municipality's residents, visitors, and businesses. You will work both strategically and operationally with issues related to traffic regulation, parking, permits, and accessibility adaptations.

The work involves close collaboration with other functions within the municipality, politics, the Swedish Police Authority, the Swedish Transport Administration, the Swedish Transport Agency, contractors, and the general public.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Experience with vehicle relocation
• Good knowledge of local traffic regulations (LTF) and RDT
• Work on road steps 1.1, 1.3, and 2.2
• Experience with public parking supervision
• Very good knowledge of the Traffic Ordinance and the Road Sign Ordinance
• Good computer skills and experience working in digital systems
• Fluent spoken and written Swedish
