Job Description

Randstad is now looking for a driven and experienced material handler for a long-term consultancy assignment with our client in Gothenburg. Here you will become a key person in a dynamic, cutting-edge department. They handle production where skilled prototype technicians create future solutions using 3D printing, fiberglass, and wood. The team verifies hardware such as cabs, chassis, and internal components for trucks, and they now need support for their material handling.

The assignment starts immediately, and working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00.

About the Role:

As a material handler, you will have a broad and varied daily routine. You will support several different departments, meaning you will move across large areas. Since Lundby is a very large workplace, you need to be socially adept and skilled at networking and collaborating with different types of people.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you are a flexible team player who takes initiative. You have a good understanding of logistics and are comfortable using the computer as a daily work tool. Since you will have many contact points, your communication skills are crucial.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who has:

• A valid forklift license and good experience driving counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks.
• A B-driver's license (mandatory for driving the company van).
• Good computer skills and preferably experience working in MS Teams.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as both are used in operations.

Qualifications

Your main tasks will include:

• Driving counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks to supply the operation with materials.
• Driving the company van to deliver materials to various locations and departments.
• Handling material orders and purchasing of consumables.
• Managing administration and digital communication, as much of the daily work and collaboration takes place via Microsoft Teams.
