About the role

As an employee here, you represent Hornbach and serve as a role model in terms of engagement, drive, and customer service. We are now looking for a Department Manager for our Iron and Tools department.

As the Department Manager for Iron and Tools, you are responsible for leading and distributing work within your team on a daily basis. You should be a role model for the group in actively engaging with customers, with sales and professional advice in focus. The role also involves selling and advising on iron and tools. You are responsible for the routine management of the department, such as receiving goods and merchandising, as well as setup and rebuilds.

Your main tasks will primarily consist of sales and customer advice. Thanks to your product knowledge and sales skills, you ensure that customers can complete their projects.

Examples of duties

Active sales of the product range within iron, tools, and electrical.
Opportunities to be inspired, learn from colleagues, and exchange solid knowledge and experience within the product area.
Responsibility for incoming goods, merchandising, and setup/rebuilds on the department.
Analyze the department's product presentation.
Be helpful on other departments when needed.

Your profile

High school education or equivalent, plus experience in retail.
Experience in iron and tools is required.
Passion for offering our customers the best possible service.
Ability to realize customers' projects through professional advice on our wide product range.
As a person, you are stress-resistant, flexible, and solution-oriented.
Forklift license (A1-A4 & B1-B4) is required.
