What we are looking for

Are you interested in sports and outdoor activities while also being passionate about delivering top-notch customer service? Then perhaps we are looking for you for the position of store employee at Sportshopen in our soon-to-open store in Uppsala. So, take the chance to join us and build something new!

We are looking for you who are an engaged and positive employee. You will work in a fast-paced team with several different tasks. At Sportshopen, we are driven by always wanting to get better and to offer the best service to all our customers.

The job

We are looking for you who always greet our customers with a happy smile and the best possible service experience! In addition to good customer service and sales, the tasks include cash register work, signage, price marking, unpacking, and restocking goods. An important part of the job is also keeping the store tidy and ensuring the right product is in the right place.

Your background

We are looking for you who have previous experience from retail, preferably with experience from outdoor/sports. As a person, it is important that you are driven and social while also being a team player who finds it easy to collaborate.

You take responsibility for your tasks and are passionate about delivering good service to our customers. We believe that with your positive attitude and good communication, you contribute to a good work climate. A high ability to take initiative and goal-oriented mindset are qualities we value. You have a genuine interest in sports and leisure products, and we would like you to have an active lifestyle.

Our terms

The positions are permanent employment starting with a six-month probation period. Working with us involves varying working hours, and weekend work occurs. Start date is in September or as agreed.

We are looking for the following:

• 80% - 3 employees
• 60% - 3 employees

We apply wages according to the collective agreement with the Swedish Union for Shop and Office Employees (Handelsanställdas förbund). We conduct credit checks as well as criminal record extracts on our final candidates.

Who are we?

Swedemount Sportswear & Fashion AB was founded in 1991 and today has 23 stores under the name Sportshopen as well as one store under the name Bazar. In Sörred outside Gothenburg, we have our 20,000 sqm automated warehouse and office. In Grebbestad on the west coast, our headquarters and our largest store, which is the largest sports store in the Nordics at 14,000 sqm, are also located.

Our stores are located throughout Sweden, from north to south, with an expanding e-commerce that also extends to the European market. Sportshopen is today one of the larger individual players in Sweden in terms of sales within sports and leisure. Our assortment consists mainly of clothes and shoes from leading brand suppliers, but we also develop and manufacture our own brands – clothes that can be used for activities in harsh climates, year-round.
