The Health and Social Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical care, authority exercises, ordering of measures, and provides care and support in its own operations. Your responsibilities

We are now expanding our pool within short-term care! Are you the one we are looking for?

In your work, you make independent assessments, plan measures, and conduct follow-ups of patients. Our patients often have complex care needs where changes in the patient's general condition can occur quickly. Your tasks are varied, ranging from direct patient care to developing and supporting nursing staff through supervision. An important part of your work involves ensuring safe and efficient medication management.

The work also includes welcoming new patients, conducting admissions and discharges, and handling reports from hospitals and social workers. You participate in the weekly rounds with doctors from the Primary Care Clinic at the University Hospital (US).

Your workplace

Currently, three nurses work within the pool, and we are now looking for one more colleague to support our various short-term care wards.

Linköping Municipality has short-term care places at Åleryd Care Home, Kärna Care Village, and Garnisonens Care Home. To better meet future needs, all short-term care will be co-located at Åleryd Care Home during 2027 to develop specialized competence in short-term care.

Your workplace varies depending on the needs of the operation due to absence or higher workload. You need to thrive in a varied work week where you meet many different colleagues.

Your working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

You who apply

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. It is meritorious if you are educated as a district nurse or have other specialist education that the employer considers relevant. For the position, you need to have previous experience working as a nurse in medical care. It is meritorious if you have worked as a nurse in municipal health and medical care.

Since the work involves documentation as well as contact with patients and relatives, good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing is required. You also need to have a B driving license and be able to cycle.

As a person, you work well with other people, listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner. Furthermore, you have the ability to lead and coordinate work by creating engagement and participation. You also understand how individuals absorb knowledge and can therefore adapt how you convey information to achieve common goals.

In your work, you need to be able to plan, organize, and prioritize your work, as well as adapt easily to changed circumstances. You make correct assessments and have the ability to weigh together complex information and different types of considerations.
