About Us

Bistål in Västervik is Northern Europe's leading supplier of bent steel bars – a step-shaped reinforcement used in masonry. Our products are characterized by high quality and are available in several different corrosion classes. In addition to bent steel bars, we also offer connecting ladders and U-block reinforcements.

Since our founding in 2001, we have grown into an established player and are today part of the Ebim Group, together with Joma, Jowema, Runå Tools, and Scandic Wire.

Our operations in Västervik (note: not Gnosjö Municipality) take place in modern facilities of approximately 4,300 sqm, as well as a storage tent of 960 sqm, enabling a large inventory and fast, reliable deliveries to our customers.

Our Production

Our machinery includes among other things:

• Wire drawing machines
• Welding machines
• Straightening and cutting machines
• Machines for cavity wall ladders and connecting ladders
• Galvanizing plant

About the Role

As a machine operator with us, you will become an important part of the production. You will work in a two-shift system together with a small group of colleagues.

Your responsibilities include:

• Straightening and cutting of materials
• Welding
• Forklift operation
• Supervision of machines and simple maintenance
• Other routine tasks in production

We are looking for someone who

• Has previous experience as a machine operator
• Has forklift and overhead crane certificates
• Has a technical interest and enjoys problem-solving
• Is comfortable with shift work
• Is meticulous, responsible, and contributes to the team and a good work environment
