About the role

Sweden has won the World Cup opener 5-1, and with that, summer is officially underway! However, there are many other signs of summer approaching, one of which is that wasps and other insects are beginning to wake from their winter hibernation.

Depending on the weather and a number of other hard-to-analyze factors, there will be more or fewer wasps and other insects during the summer. For our client, who works with pest control, this means that before summer starts, it is uncertain how many pest control technicians will be needed – suddenly, the demand can spike, and the need for more service-oriented technicians can arise almost overnight.

For this reason, we are now proactively looking for you who:

• Are available for immediate start and for work throughout the summer
• Hold a valid B-driver's license (the vehicle you will drive is automatic)
• Have strong social skills and thrive in customer-facing roles
• Are not allergic to (or afraid of) wasps and other insect stings
• Are fluent in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing

How will this work?

This is a somewhat special job advertisement. Our client currently does not have the need to onboard new permanent colleagues. However, they will most likely need new technicians during the summer.

Therefore, we will:

• Post this advertisement to connect with you if you are available immediately and interested in being on standby when our client's needs arise
• Conduct interviews and complete our entire recruitment process while waiting for our client's needs to materialize
• Follow up with you and other relevant candidates weekly to check your updated interest/availability should a position open up

The goal is that the day the need for technicians arises, you will be scheduled for an interview with the client, with a chance for employment starting immediately and an introduction shortly after your interview.

Responsibilities

• Drive to customers according to a planned route in a company vehicle
• Perform wasp nest removal for private individuals and businesses throughout Stockholm
• Create a sense of security for the customer through professional and clear communication
• Document completed work via digital tools (mobile phone)
• Plan and execute your workday based on booked assignments

Qualifications

For this role, personal qualities and a willingness and ambition to do a good job are the most important factors. However, the following are meritorious (but not required):

• Experience in service professions or customer contact
• Experience in practical or technical work
• Comfortable driving for full days
• Previous field work (e.g., craftsmanship, installation, or remediation)
• Some experience in similar work is meritorious, but not a requirement – the right attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued

About the employment

This is a consultancy assignment with employment through OIO. The assignment is intended to run from the start date through the remainder of the summer/high season. For the right person, and if the need arises, this can lead to long-term employment if all parties enjoy the collaboration.
