Job Description
In this position, you will primarily clean Gothenburg University's guest researcher apartments located throughout Gothenburg. Between buildings, we move mainly using public transport. The extended responsibilities include some handyman tasks such as changing batteries in smoke detectors, assembling furniture, and lighter caretaking assignments, among others. It also includes administrative work, inspection of premises, and contact with cleaning companies. As needed, you will also clean our teaching rooms, study areas, restrooms, lunch rooms, offices, and other premises where students and staff are present.
Qualifications
The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of the local cleaning profession and practical skills. Good computer skills are required as simpler administrative tasks are included in the position. You must also have at least 1 year of experience in local cleaning, where experience from private home cleaning or hotel cleaning is meritorious. The experience should not be older than 10 years.
You must not have any form of allergy that affects the execution of the work. Certifications such as SRY or equivalent are meritorious. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability, where good teamwork skills, attention to detail, independence, responsibility in work, and the ability to provide quality service are highly valued. We also place great emphasis on experience with similar assignments.
Employment
The employment is a fixed-term position (100%) located at Campus Service Haga, Local Cleaning Section. Start date as soon as possible according to agreement and until 2026-12-31.
