Here there are no narrow frames or ready-made boxes to step into. Here you meet acute cases ranging from the 5-year-old who jumped on a trampoline with dad, via the 17-year-old freeski skier who tried hard but landed wrong, to the 55-year-old nursing assistant who crashed with a snowmobile. You also meet the 10-year-old with long-term heel pain, the 45-year-old parent of four with persistent stress issues, and the 93-year-old who just wants to be able to pick cloudberry this summer.

The next step forward is that we want to strengthen our team with one more physiotherapist and continue to develop the physiotherapist as the first point of contact for even more patients.

Norrskenet Health Centre is a complete health centre based in Vittangi with branches in Kiruna, Svappavaara, and Karesuando. Our largest workplace is in Kiruna, where we work closely together – doctors, nurses/health care assistants, rehab/paramedics, child and maternal health care, and healthcare administrators.

As often the patient's first contact regardless of complaints, we meet a broad clinical everyday life. We continuously develop our working methods with a focus on quality, patient safety, and accessibility. Even though distances are large, we always want to be close – digital working methods are therefore a natural part of our daily life.

Who you are/Qualifications

You are a licensed physiotherapist and truly love your profession. Perhaps you are not from Kiruna but curious to try something completely new – and perhaps even open to staying like so many of us others? Perhaps you are deeply rooted in the city but want to see a different practice?

You are driven by the desire to make a difference both for the patient in front of you and for the practice as a whole. You see the benefit of working together with others, see that knowledge is meant to be shared, and are open to others' ways of thinking. Engagement and responsibility are prerequisites, and you love a good laugh at lunch break. For us, attitude is most important, competence we build together!

Job Responsibilities

The work consists of clinic visits, phone/digital contact, and group activities, and includes assessment, treatment, follow-up, and acute interventions in the consulting room, in our own rehab premises, or at a nearby gym. We collaborate closely with other professional categories within and to some extent outside Norrskenet, and try to develop smooth solutions for the best possible care.

You will primarily work in Kiruna, with regular shifts in Vittangi. For those living in Kiruna, commuting is done during working hours, by bus or company car.

Kiruna is high up in space and far down under the ground surface, infinite light and magical darkness, impressive mountain slopes and extensive views, challenging conditions and energizing meetings and nature. The advertisement concerns a temporary position for 6 months with a high chance of extension/transition to permanent employment. Recruitment begins during week 31.
