About the Department

The Palliative Ward is part of the Palliative Clinic. We provide specialized palliative care and are located at Falu Hospital. We have 8 beds and admit patients from all over Dalarna. Teamwork is central, and all professional groups contribute to high-quality care. Here, it is important to care for patients, relatives, and each other with professionalism, consideration, and respect. With a holistic view of the individual, our goal is to create security and a good quality of life for the patient and their relatives through high accessibility, participation, and continuity.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a nurse for our Palliative Care Ward. Our care focuses on patients with severe symptoms who are in the terminal stages of life. Our ambition is to make the time of illness as good as possible for the patient and their relatives.

We care for patients with varying diagnoses and advanced symptoms. Standard healthcare tasks involve a combination of medical technology and good nursing care. Some of our patients have central lines, drains, and receive medication via pumps. We are looking for someone who is curious and open to challenges. Meeting severely ill patients and their relatives requires personal maturity and confidence in your professional role.

Qualifications

You are a registered nurse with an interest in palliative care. It is important that you are empathetic and have a good attitude towards patients, relatives, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your understanding of different social and cultural contexts. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
