As a Maintenance Mechanic at RMIG, you will have a varied role close to production, working with both preventive maintenance and urgent interventions. About the role

As a Maintenance Mechanic at RMIG, you play a central role in ensuring operations run smoothly. Daily, you and the maintenance department face situations where you must prioritize between planned maintenance and urgent measures in production. Here, you will be involved in the entire chain, from troubleshooting to repair and improvement work, implying a varied daily routine where you are constantly faced with new technical challenges and personal development.

Your main responsibilities:

• Preventive maintenance of production equipment
• Troubleshooting and repair of machines
• Proactive improvement work to ensure operational reliability
• Contribute to the development of working methods and routines within maintenance
• Ensure spare parts are available through contact with suppliers, requesting quotes, and purchasing
• Actively contribute to a safe, ergonomic, and efficient working environment

The machinery consists largely of older equipment, which places demands on creativity, problem-solving skills, and a genuine technical interest.

The position is full-time and covers daytime hours, Monday–Friday.

You will be offered employment with RMIG Sweden AB, starting immediately or as agreed.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have a strong technical interest and thrive in a role where you take own responsibility. You are curious, solution-oriented, and have the ability to work methodically even when the pace is high. At the same time, you are self-reliant and confident in making your own decisions, are analytical in your approach, and have a good ability to draw conclusions during troubleshooting.

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• Have good experience in maintenance or repair work within industry
• Have a good understanding of reading mechanical drawings
• Have experience in welding, primarily using MIG/MAG and stick welding
• Enjoy practical work and have a good understanding of how machines work

It is an advantage if you have experience with hydraulics, electricity, and/or automation as well as machining in lathes and milling machines.

We place great importance on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is structured, meticulous, and responsible with a strong service mindset towards production. Furthermore, you are proactive, flexible, and thrive in a daily life with variation. For you, it is a matter of course to work with a high safety awareness in everything you do.

We see that you have good computer skills as well as administrative ability and enjoy working in digital systems.

Additionally, you communicate fluently in Swedish, both in speech and writing; English is an advantage.

A driver's license is a requirement for the position.
