We are looking for a Construction Manager for Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration).

This is a consultancy assignment. The work location is Örebro.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

We are looking for a Construction Manager BAS Väg (Roads) for a project within the operation and maintenance of road infrastructure. The role involves broad responsibility for planning, construction management, follow-up, and coordination of maintenance contracts throughout the entire execution. The work combines field work and office work, including technical follow-up, control of contractors' work, handling of customer issues, and dialogue with contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders. You are responsible for ensuring that work is carried out according to contract, schedule, budget, and current requirements regarding quality, environment, working environment, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and follow up on BAS Väg contracts as well as smaller ÄTA (Additional Work) tasks.
• Participate in project meetings and handle customer issues, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Perform controls, tests, APU follow-up, and ensure that requirements for quality, environment, working environment, and safety are met.
• Inventorize, plan, and prioritize measures regarding road equipment, roadside areas, drainage, and gravel roads, and keep infrastructure systems updated.
• Review drawings, documentation, and technical solutions, and provide technical advice.
• Follow up on schedules, costs, forecasts, ÄTA tasks, and quantity deviations, and keep a daily log.
• Coordinate with authorities, designers, property owners, and adjacent contractors, and monitor necessary permits.
• Participate in site meetings, inspections, handovers, and warranty matters in collaboration with project managers and the client organization.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

Worked as a construction manager within road maintenance with operational areas for at least 2 years full-time during the last 3 years, with the following work experience:

• Experience in handling excavation materials from, for example, ditch cleaning or other excavation, including allowed storage and landfill sites including intermediate storage according to the Environmental Code, as well as regulations, rules, and prescriptions including permits.
• Experience in mass handling regarding soil sample analyses concerning contamination levels.
• Experience in drainage work regarding various types of ditches, drainage systems, road culverts, and water flows, including masses and crushed material (ballast, stone material, etc.).
• Experience in handling issues regarding traffic damage in the road area and previous work with GPS tracking of vehicles.

Good computer skills and experience working in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Valid B driver's license.

Valid BAS-P/U education.

Certification according to steps 2.1, 2.2, and 3.0 according to TDOK 2018:0371 "APV Competence in procured operations – Contracting and Design Services".

Certification according to competence for directing and leading winter road maintenance.

Completed education in contract law including ABT06.

Merits
