About the Social and Employment Administration
The Social and Employment Administration provides support, security, and new opportunities for the residents of Mölndal. The administration is responsible for individual and family care, refugee reception, and employment initiatives.
Our ambition is that every resident in Mölndal should feel seen and secure, and be able to trust that their rights are upheld. Through collaboration, courage, and a responsive approach, we want to contribute to the ability of Mölndal residents to live independent lives and have the opportunity to build their future.
Together with other actors, we work for a sustainable society with a strong focus on early and preventive work. We want to be a social services department that is present where the people of Mölndal are.
About the Employment Unit
The Employment Unit is part of the administration's employment process and consists of employment secretaries, work coaches, and study and career counselors. The mandate is to work operationally with the goal of helping individuals achieve self-sufficiency, by arranging and organizing activities such as work training, internships, job seeking, study and career counseling, holiday jobs, pre-rehabilitation measures, and more. The unit currently consists of 20 employees.
The unit's mandate is based on collaboration within the employment process (and the units for Economic Assistance, Planning and Follow-up, and the Employment Measure Unit Plus) as well as with other administrations within the city, with a focus on the Education Administration, Health and Care Administration, and City Service Administration, but also with private and civil society actors.
Responsibilities
1 position.
Your main task is to coordinate the cross-administrative work regarding the provision of internship placements. This involves the following responsibilities:
- Establish an operational network for relevant functions within the area of responsibility.
- Develop a format for how the city's language support measures should look.
- Develop a channel for the administration of internship placements.
The assignment is based on the above parts and involves working with colleagues from municipal administrations and companies to achieve a sustainable structure for the City of Mölndal's work regarding the provision of internship placements. Initially, a mapping of the current situation will be carried out, which the practice coordination function is responsible for.
The role will be an important part of establishing and developing a functioning structure in the city (including municipal companies) for work within the activity requirement, especially within the area (category) "work-dispersed activities".
Qualifications
We see that you have a university education in one of the following areas: Personnel and Working Life Program, Social Work Program, Study and Career Counseling Program, Behavioral Science / Pedagogy, or another relevant university degree that the employer finds equivalent.
You should have experience working with coordination and change work, preferably from larger organizations. It is meritorious if you have experience from municipal or state (Arbetsförmedlingen) work within employment issues.
You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you work for a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole.
You adapt easily to your work method based on changed conditions, new information, and see opportunities in changes.
You can overview your own area of responsibility and place your own operations' significance in a larger context. You show interest in and collaborate on overarching issues to create added value. You take into account different information sources and perspectives and can adapt others' ideas to your own operations.
