Do you want to contribute to a sustainable future while coordinating and developing the daily operations at one of our recycling centers? Then you might be the Group Leader we are looking for at Görla Recycling Center!
As the Group Leader at Görla Recycling Center (ÅVC), you have overall responsibility for leading, coordinating, and monitoring daily operations at the facility. You act as a support to the Group Manager in daily operations and serve as an active supervisor within the business. In addition to your regular duties as an environmental worker, you are responsible for staffing, planning, task distribution, and certain administrative tasks. You are a key person in ensuring efficient, safe, and customer-friendly operations.
Responsibilities
In the role of Group Leader at ÅVC, you are responsible for, among other things:
- Performing tasks as an environmental worker at ÅVC, such as receiving, sorting, and handling waste and recycling materials.
- Supervising the daily work at the recycling center.
- Updating procedures and instructions and ensuring they are followed.
- Leading daily morning meetings.
- Planning staffing and scheduling in collaboration with the Group Manager.
- Responsible for inventory reporting and ensuring transport orders are processed.
- Ensuring equipment is maintained according to current routines (e.g., machinery and tools).
- Responsible for purchasing consumables and maintenance materials, as well as ordering maintenance measures according to delegation.
- Participating in financial work, for example, through invoice processing.
In this role, you are also expected to:
- Actively contribute to systematic work environment efforts.
- Participate actively in meetings, projects, and development work.
- Take responsibility for delegated tasks and deliver high-quality results.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the continued development of the business.
- Keep up to date in your field through relevant training and competence development initiatives.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and good collaboration within the organization.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have the following:
- Upper secondary education
- Category B driver's license
- Experience in leadership/supervision
- Good administrative skills
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
Merits:
- Machine operator certificate for loaders and material handlers
- Experience working in waste management and recycling
- Training in ADR 1.3 (dangerous goods)
