Two Cantor Positions: In the Ullared Area and in Torup Parish

If you are a cantor or have equivalent experience, you are welcome to apply for an exciting musician position as a Kantor (80%) in the Ullared area or Kantor (100%) in Torup. You will have great opportunities to influence the direction, schedule, and work within a strong music collegium, collaborating across boundaries both locally and within the large Falkenberg Pastorate. You will work in a creative and positive environment alongside colleagues who manage chapels and churches with different profiles and histories, set in beautiful and varied nature with excellent work teams. The association life is strong, and musicians are highly appreciated in the church, at care facilities, and in the community. You are close to both the cozy town of Falkenberg and the urban pulse of Malmö and Gothenburg.

The positions offer both high-level responsibilities and local anchoring. You will have the opportunity to develop your special gifts. In addition to working at services and church ceremonies, you will lead choirs for both children and adults, and plan various types of musical services. Together with other musicians, you are responsible for the summer music program. There is also an ambition to offer individual music lessons for all ages. As a musician, you will participate in confirmation activities, other children's activities, and parish life – a key player!

You are responsible, structured, and confident in your role. You are given great freedom to shape operations and working methods.

If you do not have a cantor degree but have started your education, there may be an opportunity to combine a position with us while continuing your studies.

We are looking for you who:

• Have worked as a cantor or in equivalent roles
• Are familiar with parish life and church traditions
• Are willing to further develop your organ playing skills
• Have a pedagogical background in some form
• Want to work with choirs and other parish activities
• Enjoy working independently but are also a team player
• Are interested in development work in worship and parish life
• Hold a Category B driver's license and have access to a car

You are expected to be a member of the Church of Sweden and share our values.

The Falkenberg Pastorate holds the Rainbow Key and works towards sustainability certification.
