We are now proudly recruiting a House Host/Hostess for Ronald McDonald House in Lund - a unique opportunity for the right person. Responsibilities

After handover and a report from the night shift, your varied and practical tasks begin, including among other things:

• Be there for the families and support them during their stay.
• Check families in and out.
• Plan and participate in activities for the families.
• Morning rounds with practical tasks such as cleaning, taking out the trash, preparing the kitchens, and refilling soap and other consumables.

Employment terms and working hours:

Employment type: Permanent position starting with a 6-month probation period.

Scope: 75%.

Working hours: Mainly daytime with start 7:45/8:30. One weekend per month (Sat-Sun) with working hours 7.45-13.45, and one evening per week with working hours until 20:00.

Benefits: You will be employed by Ronald McDonald House in Lund and covered by a collective agreement as well as excellent benefits.

Requirements and advantageous experience:

• At least a high school education
• A few years of relevant work experience
• Fluent in Swedish in speech and writing, and good knowledge of English
• Driver's license
• Advantageous: Experience working in healthcare, elderly care, or service.

About the Company

The Fundraising Foundation Ronald McDonald House at the University Hospital

Families from all over Sweden come to Ronald McDonald House in Lund when a child needs specialized care at the University Hospital and the Children's and Youth Hospital in Lund, a short walk away. During the treatment period at the hospital, the whole family, and sometimes also the sick child, can live in the House, a House filled with care and warmth. They go to the hospital for medical treatments and check-ups, then they go down to the House - "home" as many of our guests say, to cook dinner, socialize, catch their breath, and sleep. This enables a secure everyday life for all family members, where the families can have their own routines in a home-like but safe environment, and together.
