Job Description
As an occupational therapist in primary care rehab, you will meet patients of all ages with various types of illnesses, injuries, and disabilities, requiring broad competence. One of our most important referrers, in addition to inpatient care, is Gustavsberg University Health Center, where all different areas within primary care are under the same roof (psychosocial team, MVC, Child Health Center, home care, etc.). You work independently and in a team with other professions, primarily with physiotherapists in our home teams. The tasks include assessment and treatment individually and in groups. A large part of the occupational therapist's visits take place in the home environment. We also perform many assessments as a basis for the doctor's investigation regarding work capacity, cognitive illness, and ADL (Activities of Daily Living) ability. Opportunities exist to deepen your knowledge in different areas of interest, and we work to develop the occupational therapist's role in areas such as mental health and NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).
Employment Type
Permanent position. Probationary period may apply. Start date by agreement. Selection is ongoing during the advertising period, and interviews may begin before the last application day has passed, so we would appreciate it if you submit your application today.
Qualifications
You are a licensed occupational therapist and have experience and/or interest in working within primary care. Given that Värmdö Municipality is an archipelago municipality, a driver's license is a requirement.
Personal Attributes
You thrive in a high-paced work environment where the ability to prioritize and structure your work is important. You are engaged, innovative, and solution-oriented. You are good at communicating and collaborating with your colleagues and other partners. You have a professional attitude and are skilled at building good relationships to make patients feel involved and secure.
We warmly welcome your application!
The position will be filled subject to it not being needed for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
