About Us

We welcome you to a smaller, coastal geriatric ward in Nynäshamn. We are a general geriatric inpatient unit with 22 beds, working in a multidisciplinary team where nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, social workers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists collaborate during daytime hours.

Nights are staffed by two nurses, with a focus on collaboration, trust, and patient-centered care. We admit patients from all over Stockholm County. Common diagnoses include infections, cardiovascular diseases, COPD, diabetes, as well as rehabilitation after stroke or orthopedic trauma. We have direct intake around the clock from emergency hospitals, ambulances, primary care centers, and patients' homes.

Your Role

As a night nurse, you work together with a colleague and are responsible for providing safe and secure care to our patients. In times of high workload, we have a system in place to bring in additional resources.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assessment and management of acute situations
• Planning and prioritizing nursing interventions
• Medication management
• Documentation in TakeCare and LifeCare
• Medical technical tasks

About You

• Licensed Nurse (RN)
• Confident in your role, independent, and responsible
• Good ability to plan, prioritize, and collaborate
• Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Experience in geriatrics (meritorious, but not a requirement)

The working hours are 32.33 hours per week. The shift schedule includes working every third weekend. Probationary employment applies.
