APL, Apotek Produktion & Laboratorier AB, is responsible for manufacturing extemporaneous medicines, which are individualized medications for a single patient, with the aim of improving and saving lives. Many preparations are made for children and for adults with various types of hypersensitivity. APL is state-owned and one of Europe's largest manufacturers of extemporaneous medicines. It is also an established contract manufacturer within the life science industry, with resources for the development, production, and analysis of medicines. APL's approximately 600 employees work at five production units in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Umeå, and Strängnäs.

About the position

The work group currently consists of a tightly knit team of 5 employees with whom you will collaborate closely. High demands are placed on precision, hygiene routines, and your ability to follow written instructions and established procedures.

In this role, you will work at various workstations and will constantly have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and achieve personal and professional development. The work involves some heavy lifting; therefore, you need to be in good physical condition and able to handle a varied work pace.

This position is a direct recruitment to APL, which means that the recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, but you will be employed by APL. The employment is initially a temporary position for approximately one year, but with good opportunities for extension.

Job Responsibilities

The work involves traditional warehouse duties, and you will, for example, work with:

  • Goods receiving.
  • Storage.
  • Picking.
  • Inventories.
  • Providing ideas and working together with the group to improve and develop the department.

We are looking for you who

  • Speak good Swedish to be able to work according to instructions, and have an understanding of English.
  • Have a secondary education (high school diploma).
  • Have experience in warehouse work.
  • Are accustomed to maintaining documentation and working according to written instructions.
  • Are computer literate, preferably experienced in working with WMS systems and Excel.

It is an advantage if you have

  • Forklift licenses A2 and B2.
  • Worked in the pharmaceutical or food industry.
  • Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).

We also view it positively if you live in or near Umeå, as the need is relatively immediate.
