We are looking for an engaged and driven HSE Officer for our geochemical operations in the Nordics, based in Piteå.
In the role of HSE Officer, you play a central part in ensuring a safe and sustainable working environment within our Nordic operations. You will work both strategically and operationally to implement and develop our HSE processes, ensuring compliance with both local legal requirements and global guidelines. The role involves close collaboration with operational leaders, employees, and other support functions such as HR and Quality.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Drive and develop a strong HSE and sustainability culture within the organization.
- Ensure compliance with laws, internal policies, and global HSE guidelines.
- Implement and monitor HSE programs, routines, and working methods at site and regional levels.
- Work with risk assessments, incident management, and preventive measures to reduce accidents and risks.
- Support operations with regulatory requirements and contact with authorities.
- Participate in and lead internal and external HSE audits.
- Ensure that HSE training and education are conducted and followed up.
- Drive improvement initiatives.
We are looking for someone who
Has an education in occupational health, safety, and environment, or equivalent. You have several years of experience in qualified HSE work and a good understanding of legislation and standards in the field.
As a person, you are:
- Structured with a good ability to plan and drive your work independently.
- Communicative and able to collaborate easily with different functions and levels in the organization.
- Solution-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and professional in your approach.
You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Finnish is an asset. The role involves travel within the Nordics.

The Position
The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period, based in Piteå.
