Your Role

Do you want to work with technical solutions that make a difference? Join us in developing packaging solutions for the JAS39 Gripen! We are now looking for a Technical Officer within Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at Saab in Arboga.

Here, you will have a varied and meaningful role where you contribute throughout the entire lifecycle – from development to decommissioning of aircraft maintenance equipment. You work closely with both customers and internal functions, becoming a key part of ensuring efficient, sustainable, and requirement-compliant technical solutions.

In this role, you have overall responsibility for driving and developing assignments towards customers, with a special focus on packaging and packing technology for aviation equipment. You work both operationally and coordinatively, investigating technical issues, developing solutions, and ensuring they meet established requirements. The work also involves contributing to projects, supporting procurement processes, and being responsible for creating and updating technical documentation.

You function as a coordinating link, a "spider in the web," with many contact points both internally and externally. You collaborate closely with functions such as procurement, design, and quality, while simultaneously maintaining dialogue with customers such as industry, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), and the Swedish Armed Forces. An important part of the role is also to provide technical support to users of our products and contribute to creating efficient support solutions.

• Develop and create packaging and packing solutions
• Conduct technical investigations and contribute to projects
• Prepare and support procurement processes
• Create and update technical documentation
• Further develop existing equipment and participate in new development

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are driven, initiative-taking, and have a genuine interest in technology. You thrive in a role with many contact points and have the ability to work both independently and in teams. You are curious, solution-oriented, and have a desire to continuously develop and learn new things.

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• Have a technical education or equivalent work experience
• Have experience in coordinating work with multiple contact points
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Hold a driver's license, category B

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Experience with aircraft maintenance
• Experience from working with the Swedish Armed Forces or FMV
• Ability to read and understand design documentation

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the currently valid regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
