About us

Jönköping Airport AB operates and develops the airport in Jönköping. The company is owned 50% by Jönköping Municipality and 50% by Region Jönköping. We have approximately 45 employees working directly for Jönköping Airport, while a total of about a hundred people use the airport as their daily workplace. About the position

Jönköping Airport is now looking for employees for our operations department in the role of Airport Technician. Here you will manage all aspects surrounding an aircraft's arrival and departure, providing excellent opportunities for professional development. Duties include loading and unloading baggage and cargo, working as an airport firefighter, and driving various heavy special vehicles. The position includes training to become an airport firefighter. You will also work with snow clearing of runways and aprons, as well as mowing field areas.

Who are you?

You who apply should have a few years of work experience and appreciate a mobile, physical, and varied job. The position suits you if you thrive with shift work scheduled during weekdays/nights and weekends. You are a driven team player who spreads joy and energy and has a natural focus on safety. You enjoy working in a group, are a quick learner, and can handle occasionally stressful situations. Great emphasis is placed on your personal suitability. Since the shifts involve early mornings and late evenings, you must have access to a car to commute to and from the airport.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a completed upper secondary education with good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. A language test will be conducted. We require that you have a Category C driver's license and a forklift license. You are trained as an airport technician or have equivalent experience from working at an airport.

The position also requires good physical fitness, and you must meet the basic requirements for airport firefighters according to current regulations.

Merits

If you have machine experience, such as operating wheel loaders, or experience from snow clearing, it is a big plus. Training as a firefighter or airport firefighter is highly meritorious. Basic computer skills are also meritorious as some administrative tasks are involved.

Scope

Permanent. Full-time or part-time, shift work. Start date by agreement after the vacation period. Terms of employment are governed by collective agreements.

Since the work is located at the airport, which is a protected object with high security requirements, a security clearance check with an extract from the criminal record will be conducted before employment.
