We are looking for a Project Manager for Electrical Power and BEST-MK to work with a government agency within the transport sector. This is a consultancy assignment based in Stockholm. The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

We are seeking a Project Manager for Electrical Power and BEST-MK for a public actor within public transport and railway infrastructure. The role involves leading, directing, and coordinating design work across several parallel assignments, with responsibility for progress, quality, coordination, and technical decisions throughout the various stages of the projects – from design to production and handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design work within electrical power and BEST-MK across several parallel assignments.
• Direct design schedules, deliveries, milestones, and technical decisions.
• Ensure that design meets requirements, guidelines, standards, and quality criteria.
• Coordinate and quality-assure system documents, tender documents, construction documents, and relationship documents.
• Responsible for reviews, requirement management, and handling of comments.
• Coordinate technical areas and interfaces with projects, administration, and production.
• Drive sustainable and technically feasible solutions from a holistic perspective.
• Monitor costs, resources, forecasts, risks, and deviations.
• Report status, progress, and decision needs to the Project Manager.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, tenders, and bid evaluations.
• Support production in technical matters and produce technical PMs and solutions during the contract period.
• Ensure maintenance requirements and drive the handover of maintenance documentation.

Requirements (Mandatory)

• A Master of Science in Engineering with a technical focus, or equivalent technical competence acquired through work experience of at least 7 years.
• Documented experience from at least one (1) project within rail-bound transport where design was carried out in a facility with ongoing track traffic, and where the work was planned, coordinated, and executed in such a way that the impact on traffic operations was minimized without unplanned operational disruptions.
• At least six (6) years of documented experience in design within construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects. Of this total experience, at least three (3) years must have been in the role of Technical Manager (TA), Project Manager, or a corresponding coordinating and technically leading role within a design organization.
• At least three (3) years of documented experience in the role of Project Manager or Project Leader with overall responsibility for the preparation of system documents within projects for rail-bound transport. The experience must include coordination and leadership of at least six (6) technical areas and responsibility for both technical documents and administrative documentation.
• At least two (2) years of documented experience in the role of Project Manager or Project Leader with overall responsibility for the preparation of tender documents within projects for rail-bound transport. The experience must include coordination and leadership of at least six (6) technical areas and responsibility for both technical documents and administrative regulations and documentation.
• Fluent Swedish in both speech and writing.

Merits

• At least 2 years of experience in contracting work within rail-bound transport as a Site Manager or Foreman.
• Documented experience of administrative control and follow-up of consultancy assignments according to ABK 09, including handling of time, economy, deliveries, and change management in at least two (2) projects.
• At least 3 years of experience working in or on behalf of a client organization within infrastructure or public transport.
